It only took eleven days to confirm officially after personal details were met by Juventus, but with the Bundesliga season over and Werder Bremem accepting a 24.5 Million Euro bid for the two years left on his contract, Brazilian International Diego is on his way to Turin and is the first of many about to swap shirts.

Diego had two years left on his contract with the Bundesliga side but had made it clear that he wanted a new challenge and today’s news from Turin came as no surprise. Diego has been one of the most talented players in the Bundesliga since joining from Porto in 2006. He has scored 12 goals in 21 league games this season – a campaign truncated by injuries – and has 33 caps for Brazil.
“Juventus football club announces the agreement for the acquisition of the registration rights of the player Diego,” the Turin club said in a statement. “The acquisition has been finalised. Juventus and the player have signed a five-year contract starting from July 1, 2009.”
