The Dan Patrick Show devoted several minutes to ”The Super Bowl of Soccer” this morning and had a coolish interview with Joe Cole of Chelsea to discuss the game, and also promised to go to Stamford Bridge this summer and then visit Frank Lampard’s pub. (Audio link after jump too).

“Chelsea’s Joe Cole joined the show to discuss the Manchester-Barcelona match today and preview the upcomign World Football Challenge.

– Cole said he has buddies on Man U and Barcelona, so he’s not picking sides.

– Cole had some interesting comments on the NFL. “It’s a tough game to understand,” Cole said. He said he was very confused when he saw the Dolphins a couple of years ago at Wembley Stadium. Cole said he doesn’t think he could kick field goals in the NFL.

– Cole said that it’s not an English thing to flop during a match.”
