Project Natal for XBox 360
Filed under: Cool Ish, Video Games
E3 is taking place here in Los Angeles right now, so announcements from the video game industry should be heavy this week. One of the craziest has to be Project Natal for XBox 360. Building on what the Wii has been able to achieve, Project Natal goes one step further and eliminates the need for a controller.
This is definitely on some next level ish. A video game that doesn’t need a controller? Wow! Instead of a sensor bar that picks up the movement of the controller, this has a sensor camera that picks up the movement of…well, you. Take that robots!!
We’ll be heading over to E3 today, so we’ll find out what other types of ridiculousness is going on in the gaming industry and get lots of pictures posted later.

That is crazyness. I just jizzed in my pants.
^I second that Krista
I was hoping you guys would post this. Could you imagine Fifa on this thing?!
when would something like this come out? I’ll believe it when I see it
Something like this is already out. Go look up the eyetoy, it has been around for years, first comming out on the ps2. It was a showstopper at all my house parties, especially for the girls since many of the mini-games required little or no tech knowledge (just stand there and punch the ninjas, juggle the soccer ball, pop the balloons, etc) I am suprised it has taken so long for either next gen system to come out with something like this.
And yes, it is really is as much fun and awesome as it looks.

i think i remember something comparable to this for SNES or something. Still, the technology is ridiculous.
Left 4 Dead 2 was announced too. This has been a good day in video game news.

[…] I know Beans gave you a first look on Project Natal, but the other night Jimmy Fallon gave us a pretty sick demo. This is definitely taking it to the next level. Posted on Jun 11th, 2009 by Pags […]
