E3
Filed under: Cool Ish, Technology, Video GamesThe video game world descended upon LA this week, and thanks to our boy BC from Konami, we we’re able to get a sneak peak at what will be released soon, new games and where things are headed. If my interpretation of the future is correct, the real world and virtual world will be the same and robots will have taken us over. I could be wrong (although I think the robot thing will definitely be happening). Overall it was good to check out what’s going on in the video game industry and geek out on some new products that I might need in my life. Only thing that was a disappointment, Olivia Munn was nowhere to be found…
EA Sports made their presence known. Hard to not pay attention to something when it is on a 40 foot flat screen in front of you. (Note to self, get bigger TV)
I have no idea what the name of this game is…there was no sign, no information and it was placed kind of randomly on its own. Almost like it snuck itself in and wanted to crash the party. At least that’s how it happened in my head.
Once again, I have no idea what game these girls were promoting. But their shirts said Trailer Park and they were fun, so that meant a photo op for essdot and the ladies. I’m still a little confused why they were wearing wristbands and if these wristbands had anything to do with the game.
XBox had a pretty massive setup going on and I thought it was pretty cool that they figured out how to park their corporate spaceship in the middle of the Convention Center.
Game genres I expected to see: Sports, action, driving, war, etc. Game genres I did not expect to see: Cooking. This game by the Food Network had people cooking steaks, peeling potatoes and flipping pans. You haven’t seen anything until you have witnessed someone peel a virtual potato with a Wii controller (remember what I said earlier about real life, virtual life and robots?).
With all the incredible technology that we witnessed at E3, it was nice to see an old friendly face.

Wanna talk about creepy-robots-taking-over from E3, take a look at Microsoft’s Project Natal demos.
Sorry, specifically the Milo kid from Lionhead. Creepy.
who knew the fist version of skynet would be so cute
