A few weeks back we got invited to an Under Armour x Bobby Zamora event in London. So we sent our Londontown resident Paulie Walnuts (love the shirt homie!) to the event to snap some pics and rub shoulders with Fulham’s Bobby Zamora and get the VIP treatment. Took a minute to get the pictures sent via Western Union messenger, but they finally arrived, as did Paulie’s coverage of the event.

Went down to the Jamie Lawrence Football Academy  in Tooting, South London a few weeks ago, where Fulham striker Bobby Zamora and UnderArmour were debuting their new line of boots. Jamie Lawrence, a former Jamaican international who played for Bradford and Sunderland
put the lads through a few drills and Zamora, coming off a hip injury, got stuck in and took part in the drill matches much to the horror of his manager and Fulham handlers.

UnderArmour’s new boots drop tomorrow and their reps described the move back to flexible leather rather than the stiffer plastic materials used on boots nowadays, I tried them on and
after a kickabout I realised they felt like I was playing on a bed of angel feathers.

Bobby Zamora, who despite his ‘ard man rep, turned out to be a down to earth, thoughtful geez, who continued to play with the trainees for more than two hours past his deadline time and held his own with the Academy kids’ banter and efforts to nutmeg a Premiership player.

(Paulie sent us some video of the event, but due to my computer being completely unwilling to work with me, the video is not working. I’ll see if I can fix this problem).
