what does the 2 game ban over 2 years mean? just 2 games over 2 years or what? Either way, Drogba had a point but he shouldnt have acted like a child. Youre a professional and you get paid MILLIONS. Kids look up to you daily and you end up acting like one of them throwing a fit.

How do you try and act tough when wearing a pair of sandals? There’s a reason they were Jesus’ preferred method of footwear.

I think that the banning of Drogbs is spot on, he was off the pitch and should have kept his mouth shut. The fine for Chelsea is totally wrong, how can UEFA fine Chelsea that amount of money when they - UEFA - fixed the game to help Barcelona on their way? As for Bosingwa, neither he nor any other Chelsea player, other than Drogba, should be punished as the UEFA fix caused high emotions in a negative way. Anyone would act the same when faced with corruption of such a high degree.

    John James,

Was Abidal’s foul a red card? He didnt even touch Anelka and Anelka goes down and its a red. Chelsea was playing a man up for 25 min and couldnt even make 5 passes in a row. They played negative football and didnt deserve to win. Football is a funny sport in that if you play it the right way good things happen to you, like winning the final and scoring in the 94th min to knock out a team that played with 9 or 10 men behind the ball for 180 min.

Drogba never should have come at the ref like that after the game was over. He deserves the suspensions.

And I am with Joe. Chelsea had a one man advantage. If they are the better team, then they should have been able to capitalize and score a second goal against Barcelona. The only way that UEFA could have continued to “fix” the game was to give Chelsea a red card as well and even up the teams. That did not happen. Instead Chelsea had the advantage but were unable to use it. That’s how it goes in sports.

not long enough, the disrespect showed by players to league officials is going too far…check out rugby players, in general, they respect a referee’s dicision and get on with the game. No one has ever changed a ref’s dicision so let’s just get on with the game
