Juventus Confirm Rossi Conversations With Villareal

He’s getting murdered left and right by media and fans alike here in the United States while all the talk in Italy is that he should be back playing his club ball in the country he’s representing, but Giuseppe Rossi could very well be on his way to Juventus after confirmation from Sporting Director Alessio Secco that the club might be willing to match Villareal’s asking price.

The 22-year-old has impressed for the Italian national team at the Confederations Cup, scoring two goals in a substitute appearance against the United States, prompting a sensational attack from Spanish newspaper AS, declaring him a ‘traitor.’

According to Sky Sport 24, Juventus have confirmed that sporting director Alessio Secco is meeting with Villarreal officials to negotiate a transfer for the former Manchester United and Parma starlet.

The Spanish club have asked for between €15-18 million, plus striker David Trezeguet in exchange.

    probably the most innadvertently controversial figure in footie. and they say football isnt jingositic war games, brings an interesting question about how italian or american he is, marcos senna plays for spain if they put brazil out is he more of a traitor?? Especially if he cant get in the brazil squad, americans and spainards (strangely) are a bit jelly of this boys talent, he should want to play for the more prestigious of the two nations he represents, if he wasnt as good I guess he would have to MNT…sad innit?
