Larrionda had much to do with Italy “not losing” to USA in 2006 and he also has some scruples in 2002 from what I’ve heard, not to mention other tournaments. I jus thope we (USA) don’t get him as ref for any of our games. Hopefully he’ll screw up again and draw more attention to his biased officiating and finally get FIFA to hand him a red card or better, a pink slip!

those must be good luck red cards he hands out. the US has a draw against italy and won against spain in the two matches he reffed. still, some of his calls are ridiculously bad

The refereeing has been terrible–constant holding in the box is never called. And Bradley’s red card? Absolutely ridiculous! It did seem that the referees were favorable to non-U.S. teams. And where was the blind linesman when Donovan got leveled RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM?

Everyone remembers the reds from this game, but I remember the Beasley goal that was called back that should have been allowed.
