Good mates and fellow Galacticos, David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane, were in El Segundo CA where they announced the “Footprint Fields” program which will develop turf fields in inner city communities.
They hung out the rest of the day together -
First Becks and Zidane put their feet in cement to commemorate the day. Look at Don Garber in the suit - watching Zidane.
Then Becks and Zidane play a quick game with some locals. Becks is all smiles, Zidane appears relaxed.
This kid is surely about to get a lesson he won’t soon forget. You mess with Zidane by rudely asking for an autograph, or worse yet you bother Mrs. Zidane, and you better expect a world of pain coming your way. A very “Materazzi” moment here.

I can understand honoring Zidane because after all the man is a legend and a true great even though he never played in the US- but honoring Beckham?? No. This is so wrong. Adidas has no shame and MLS has no spine. After the damage he’s done and the disrespect with which he’s treated the league that bent over backwards to cater to him?? Not to mention that it’s a joke to compare him to Zidane. Beckham is no where near in the same league (no pun intended) as Zidane. Zidane deserves every honor he gets for his contributions to soccer but the only place Beckham should be honored is in the media/public relations/celebrity hype hall of fame.
