Victoria Beckham to join American Idol as a Guest Judge

As the dust settles on the shocking departure of Paula Abdul, 47, from next season’s American Idol, now comes confirmation from Victoria Beckham’s publicist that the former Posh Spice, 35, will make a “one-off appearance” as a guest judge on the top-rated FOX show, reports Britain’s Sky News.
Just don’t expect Beckham to take up a permanent perch next to judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi – as she reportedly doesn’t wish to take time away from overseeing her fashion line.

After reading the Beckham Experience and understanding more of the relationship between the Beckhams, Simon Fuller and American Idol…this is a no brainer. The bigger question for me is, does she get the gig long term and does this help keep Becks at LA? Perhaps the guest tag is because they know she’s leaving in less than a year.
From one marginal talent to another…This one with less of the crazy, and probably less interesting as a result. Idol needs the Paula crazy imho.
i frankly found paula funny granted i would watch american idol baked out of mind most of the time, but im glad they got rid of her, i still feel like david beckham could do better, cheryl tweedy cmon..but i think its good they got rid of her.( my gf claims david is alot less hot once she heard is 13 year old voice) anyone as drugged up as her shouldnt be on tv…yea she got in a plane crash and just decided not to tell anyone..cause a broken neck wouldnt have been the best interest piece to boost a career possible, watch the family guy stewie version of her music video with the cat its awesome
i actually like this move, Victoria Beckham’s got a snarky sense of humor that i totally get down with. and she’s really self-aware which contestants on AI could really use.
