Steven Gerrard Pulls Out Of Holland Friendly
Filed under: English National Team, Steven GerrardLiverpool Captain Steven Gerrard has pulled out of the England squad ahead of their International Friendly against Holland in Amsterdam after complaining of a groin issue.

The Liverpool captain trained yesterday but felt a slight soreness in his groin and has withdrawn as a precaution.The Aston Villa winger Ashley Young is set to replace Gerrard on the left of midfield. The 24-year-old will make his first start in an England shirt on his sixth appearance.
The remainder of Fabio Capello’s squad was able to make the short flight to the Netherlands, where they will be put through their paces at the Amsterdam Arena tonight.
Gerrard is the second withdrawal from Capello’s squad. The goalkeeper Ben Foster has already been replaced by Joe Hart after hurting his knee in Manchester United’s Community Shield defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.
