The fact that people can even consider granting MORE power to the government shows just how far we have drifted from the original vision of our ancestors for how a civilization of free people could live together. Because once you put this type of system in place, and make it mandatory for every to participate, and THEN start penalizing people’s lifestyles because how much it costs his neighbors, what you have ACTUALLY done is take complete and total control of every citizens lifestyle, and FORCED Them to ‘be good’, they aren’t free anymore, they are just drones in the Great American Anthill.

And you can say good by to convertibles, motor sports racing, football and anything else that might jeopardize your health, because your government mandated and controlled health care will simply tell you ‘if you do that, we aren’t going to cover your injury expenses’ and it would be against the law to buy private insurance to cover that, since the government option doesn’t have a corresponding option.

You would think, in this day and age, people would be able to detect the smell of BS when some one drops a large stinking pile of it on a table in front of them.

If you aren’t paying Aetna/Aflac/BCBS/etc…then guess what? You will be paying the government in some form or fashion.

If you have any stocks in any sort of insurance company……sell now, but if you dont have private or government run insurance you will be fined. So the government is forcing you to step up to the plate. That $26/month you just got from Obama is going straight back into their pockets.

People who are rich and always could afford healthcare can complain but if you put them in other peoples shoes then maybe theyd understand.

Thanks for bringing up the non sequitur. The uk ALSO has nationalized health care? We don’t have this. But we did have a woman die INSIDE the er waiting room last year because she didn’t have health insurance. People called 911, but paramedics couldn’t do anything because she was already in the hospital. Staffers? On security cams watching her sieze to death. On a case by case basis, we’re clouding the issue. I want you to be covered in case you lose your job. If you get hit by a drunk driver, am I supposed to say “Oh well, sucks for you? Welcome to debt?”

How can people argue against being taken care of? Only if you don’t get sick. Play soccer much? Obviously not. The prospect of a horrible injury should not be financially crippling, only physically.
