On behalf of my friend and teammate Ethan Zohn, someone whom I admire greatly for a host of reasons, I am reaching out for your assistance.

As you may know, Ethan is a former professional footballer and the winner of Survivor: Africa, a televised competition which saw him win $1,000,000. With his winnings, Ethan co-founded Grassroot Soccer, an organization which uses the power of soccer in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Ethan is a tireless worker, an extremely accessible and giving person and a bundle of positive energy. He is also a courageous human being, taking on his personal battle with – and raising awareness about – cancer. Despite chemotherapy, public appearances and all, Ethan still shows up for our Hollywood United FC training sessions, smiling, and asking me, “Hey, how’s Football Partnerships?”
