Paco Palencia Back With The Mexican National Team

Paco Palencia

Former Chivas USA forward Paco Palencia (and one of the nicest / most hardworking dudes I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around) has been recalled to the Mexican National by head coach Javier Aguirre and added to the roster for their final two World Cup Qualification matches against El Salvador at home and Trinidad & Tobago on the road.

Francisco “Paco” Palencia has been added to the roster as Cuauhtémoc Blanco’s participation seems less likely due to an injury obtained while on duty with his club team, Chicago Fire.
“For that reason the technical team made the decision to call the player from Pumas de la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Juan Franciso Palencia, who will report with the national team on Wednesday October 7.”

The Pumas player has played with the national team on 78 previous occasions, scoring 11 goals in the process.

Couldn’t agree with you more Dunny! I had the pleasure doing a few photo shoots with him while he played for the Chivas USA equipo. A CLASS ACT!
