At midnight on Oct. 19, E Street Cinema in Washington DC will show “Victory,” part of the four-night Kicking & Screening soccer film festival, www.kickingandscreening.com, organized in part by Goal.com editor Greg Lalas.

Story via Washington Examiner

“The festival, part of whose proceeds will benefit D.C. Scores and United for D.C., will commence one night after the U.S. men’s national team plays its final World Cup qualifying match against Costa Rica at RFK. “Les Yeux dans les Bleus,” the story of the French 1998 World Cup-winning team, will be shown at the French Embassy.

The climax, however, is the chance to see the World War II POWs’ inspirational game against the Nazis on the big screen. Former New York Cosmos star Werner Roth, who plays the German captain Baumann, is slated to be in attendance.”
