CNNSI’s Senior Soccer Writer and the author of “The Beckham Experiment”, Grant Wahl, was robbed at gunpoint yesterday in broad daylight in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.   Wahl is in Honduras covering tonight’s WCQ between the US and Honduras.

Talk about crazy extremes. Just got off the phone with the de facto president of Honduras. He apologized for the robbery. Talked soccer too.

Thank god for Marriott points. I’ve got no credit cards and about $40 in Honduran money. Still have laptop/passport. Will be at game!
