Filed under: Charlie Davies, Injuries, US National TeamUS Soccer has put out an official update on the status of US International and Sochaux forward Charlie Davies following an afternoon of surgeries for injuries suffered in an early Tuesday morning, one car accident.
The 23 year old has suffered a lacerated bladder, fractures to the tibia and femur in his right leg, left elbow fracture and facial fractures.
Thoughts and prayers here at BP_TOW are with all involved.

Gutted, but glad Charlie survived that horrific wreck. Was worried all day.
what awful news. my wallet and phone were stole today…and now this? today = worst day ever. i feel terrible for the guy. i wish him all the best in the world…jesus it sounds bad.
Even if he never plays for the U.S. MNT he will always be one of my favorites because he plays the game right.
My thoughts and prayers are with him, the family of Ashley Roberta, and the other person in the car… this is sad sad news, and he is very lucky to have survived.
While I’m glad Charlie is gonna be ok (maybe never play again but at least he’s gonna recover) it does botherme that he got into this situation. I don’t care that they already clinched a spot in the WC, what was he doing out at 3 am just days before another WC qualifying game? These guys have a curfew and he was clearly in violation of it. Also, this was a one car accident and looking at pics of the car shows that it was torn in half and severly smashed up. Was there drinking involved and how fast was this car going? Serious lack of judgement by Davies here. A bad decision that cost somebody their life, him and another almost their lives, and him possibly his career.
Couldnt agree with FtWTX more…youre a role model to thousands if not millions of people here in the US and in France. Youve got a pretty important image to uphold.
my thoughts and prayers are for him…Charlie best wishes I cant wait to see u play again…i know you will play again i have faith
