English Chelsea Football Club has approached to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) requesting that it put a hold on the transfer ban, imposed by FIFA, until a verdict has been reached on the appeal.
FIFA applied a ban on Chelsea’s transfer activity until 2011 once the club was at fault when player Gael Kakuta breached his contract in 2007 with Lens. The player is banned from professional matches for four months. Kakuta and Chelsea must compensate GBP 710,000 to Lens as part of the penalty.
Chelsea owes a further ‘training compensation’ of GBP 118,000 to Lens.
Should the ban be postponed, the club will be able to participate in transfer activities this coming January. No date has been set by the Court to hear the appeal as of yet.

This is stupid. Just ban them. It’s ruining the game. Greed ruins everything good in the world. Sickening.
shut up baldguy. You can punish one team for a sports problem.
obviously meant can’t.
