from the Sun:
David Beckham {and his beard} will miss Englands high profile clash with Brazil if the LA Galaxy win their MLS play off next week, and that would wreck his chance of breaking Peter Shilton’s 125-cap record in South Africa next year.
Fabio Capello’s England fly to Qatar for a World Cup warm-up with favourites Brazil in Doha on November 14. But Becks will be occupied with his American club if Galaxy beat Los Angeles rivals Chivas USA in their MLS Cup play-off.
If Galaxy progress to the next round, they will play on Thursday, November 12.
That is less than 48 hours before England kick off in Doha, making it virtually impossible for Beckham to be involved.
Beckham, 34, won his 115th England cap against Belarus two weeks ago and is desperate to overtake Shilton’s record.
If England make it all the way to the final in South Africa, they will play 11 games between now and the end of the season.
And Becks would need to be involved in every one to become the most-capped player.
