Game two of the LA Galaxy v Chivas USA playoff series took place tonight at the Home Depot Center, so isps and I headed down to take in the action, snaps some photos and link up with some winners from the contest we held with the LA Galaxy. The atmosphere was on point and it was an absolutely perfect night for the beautiful game. Not long after Landon converted the penalty for the game winner, this little dude was in full celebration mode and he was more than happy to show us his love for the Galaxy. He was fully kitted out, had the hand drawn sign of support and even a Galaxy wig. This cat captured the essence of what the sport is about and he gives me great hope for the next generation of soccer fans in the US. With youngsters like this having this kind of passion for the sport, I know that our sport is in good hands. We had a chance to link up with a couple of the winners from the  ticket giveaway contest. They were super excited to be at the game and made the drive up from San Diego after winning a couple tickets. It’s always rad to link up with fellow fans, talk soccer and share stories.

As the game was winding down, and the Galaxy was hanging on to the 1-0 lead, this fan was doing what we all do when our team is winning and trying to hold on to a lead. Stress was high for lots of cats in the dying minutes of the game tonight. Moments like this capture a lot of what I love about the sport…emotion, passion and a deep desire and commitment for the team that we support.
