I am liking the Russian Jerseys.
Does anybody else have a problem with the Russian kit’s Cold War overtones? If your country’s colors are red, white, and blue, I see no reason to don crimson and gold. I’m not gonna get on too much of a political soapbox here, but these jerseys are clearly alluding to the old Soviet colors and thus nostalgize an oppresive era for many Russians. As an ethnic Russian Jew, I take offense to the FA using these colors to tie their identity back to the socialist period.
The Russian 4 could not look any more goofy!
russias got the bizness kits.
spain failed. they should stuck with the confed cup kits, those were awesome. france could do better and idc to be honest about the last.
I like the Russian kits a lot and South Africa’s are nice too. Spain’s is losing for sure, their old kits were so good too. The French kit is aight, I guess.
Caption for Russia jerseys…
“I’m with stupid”!
french kit has 11 lines down the front…denmark’s has 11 dotted lines on its front. both represent the 11 players on a side. i like the idea.
overall, pretty indifferent to most of the kits i’ve seen so far. germany and russia are the only ones that really stand out for me so far.
Pali - plenty of Russians are oppressed now. Plenty of Americans are oppressed now. Plenty of French and South Africans are oppressed now, too. The colors of the soccer jerseys have very little to do with that.
