MLS Announces The Graduation Of Generation Adidas Players

Major League Soccer has announced the list of 10 players that will be graduating from the 2009 class of Generation Adidas and become full rostered players heading into the 2010 MLS season.

    I’m sure it’s simply because I don’t fully understand the Generation Adidas program but it seems that graduating is a bad thing. The program protects its players salaries. What benefit is there to graduating? How long havethe individuals been enrolled?

    GA players are graduated when they don’t need the benefits that come with being GA – when they regularly see playing time. They are also “graduated” when they are released by a club. Most of these players have booked a certain amount of minutes and are considered to not need the benefits anymore
