I don't see what people are pissed at Ireland about. There has been countless calls for some added officiating around the goals. FIFA drags their feet and now something like this happens. If I was Ireland, there's no way I go silently into that good night. Hey, they won't make WC, but at least they can spur changes to occur in goal area officiating.
