International soccer star and USA National Team member Landon Donovan appeared at Niketown New York yesterday to discuss his team’s reaction to their draw for the South Africa Tournament. Donovan was joined by teammates Clint Dempsey, Robbie Rogers and Jonathan Bornstein via u-stream(and Kobe Bryant), and local area soccer youth were on hand to ask questions of the soccer standouts. The event was also streamed live via webcast at www.facebook.com/nikesoccer where fans were able to ask questions via Facebook.
the facebook nike soccer page lets us know that the event will be on ESPN 360 again in the next few days, so be on the lookout for that. More info and pics after the jump…
In addition to World Cup talk, Donovan officially unveiled the Niketown New York Soccer Shop, a total soccer experience where players of all levels can select from a broad product offering and customize boots according to their style of play and performance. When designing boots, players can specify fit and width, pick a sole plate to match their surface of play, and select materials and color as well as embroider a unique NIKEiD. Team and professional uniforms are also available for customization.
