We caught up with our boy Herculez Gomez over the weekend as he is back in LA getting in some training with Chivas USA after his incredible season with Puebla in the Mexican Primera Division. Let’s all think for a minute about what it means to be the first American soccer player to ever lead a foreign league in goal scoring. That is a monumental feat and we couldn’t be happier that it happened to Herc.

This has been a big year for American soccer and we’re hoping that the rest of 2010 is equally as massive and successful for for soccer in the USA. This graphic is our small way of paying homage and respect to a city that has an incredible history of soccer in the United States, and that has come on the scene very heavy recently and finally saw their own MLS team jump start their franchise history in 2010. Here’s to the good folks of Philly, a great city and our small part to toast the history of soccer in Philly and wish it all the best going forward.
