I actually missed the goal in real time because my head was in my hands as soon as I saw Deuce’s shot get blocked. Then I heard all the screaming and saw Donovan running for the touchline and the ball in the back of the net. The bar I was at erupted. It was f*$king mental in there. Simply amazing. Sorry, but no other sport can make you feel that way. Championships every year? Pssshhht! There’s nothing like good ole national pride during world cup time.
