According to the Kansas City Wizards, the team has sold more than 700 tickets one day after upsetting English Premier League team Manchester United 2-1.
Team spokesman Rob Thomson said Monday the new tickets were sold as the team opened the first 2,011 season tickets for next year to sales following the victory over the Red Devils. Don’t worry current season ticket holders, your place in line for seats at the new stadium isn’t in jeopardy.
Again, those are new season ticket holders. The Wizards are scheduled to move into the $200 million 18,500-seat stadium currently under construction at Village West next June.
