It’s always great to see guys who have walked away from the professional game find a new path in life… and in the case of our (Beans and I) former teammate Shaun Higgins, his post playing career is focused on the player representation side of things.

The Elite Soccer Showcase is being held at Cal State Fullerton on December 17-19th, 2010.  There will be coaches representing all levels of US professional soccer in attendance, including coaches from MLS, NASL, and USL PRO clubs.  Last year’s event earned multiple professional opportunities for participants, many of whom had successful campaigns in the USSF Division II 2010 Campaign.  This year the event has several players from Africa attending, players that might have fallen through the cracks, as well as recent college graduates that are likely to garner interest.
