The new England manager Roy Hodgson is to name his squad for Euro 2012 on Wednesday 16 May.

Hodgson will then have until 29 May to make any alterations, after which a final list must be submitted to European football’s governing body, Uefa.

The former Finland and Switzerland coach has two friendlies against Norway and Belgium before the first match of the tournament, which is being held in Poland and Ukraine, against France on 11 June.

England’s players are scheduled to report for a four-day training camp in Spain on 21 May.
