Wolverhampton Wolves Name Norwegian Ståle Solbakken As New Manager

Wolves are pleased to confirm the appointment of Ståle Solbakken as the Club’s new manager.

The 44-year-old Norwegian has signed a contract and will officially take over on 1st July 2012.

Chief Executive Jez Moxey confirmed the appointment by saying: “Following talks with Ståle Solbakken I am happy to confirm that he has agreed to become our new manager.  He will be formally introduced to the media on Monday.”

Ståle added, “I am delighted to be taking up the important challenge to manage Wolves.  It’s an exciting opportunity to manage a great club and I can’t wait to get started.”

No further comment will be made until Ståle is officially unveiled at a press conference on Monday morning.

Terry Connor will manage the team for the final game of the season against Wigan on Sunday, completing the agreement made when he took on the position in February
