I’ve been listening to this song “All That (Lady)”, and Jesus Piece all day. Actually I’ve been listening to it for the last week or so and I have been trying to figure out if I like the album, if I like all the features, or if its some combination of the two things… I’m not a big fan of Game lyrically. Personally he feels to me like a formula rapper. Like he is really good at making songs, but I dont know if he is a good rapper. I remember an interview he gave a really long time ago about when he got shot, and when he was in the hospital and he decided to be a rapper he got all the classic albums from Tupac, Biggie, Jay Z, Eminem, etc. and just studied them and studied them until he taught himself how to rap. So, to me, I dont know if I can consider him a good rapper, but based on that theory that would mean that I dont think Will Smith is a good actor – because he did the exact same thing to become the biggest movie star in the world (its true, look it up.)

Now. With all that being said, this song is a F*ing heater! Another thing that Game is really good at is getting his flow right. He starts this off very correct, Wayne is Wayne (not the old Wayne, but this one is decent) and then Sean Don comes in and M-U-R-D-E-R-S his verse. Throw in Jeremih’s hook and Fab with some ad-libs and you have a nice record…. but when you lay it on top of one of the hottest samples in a while you have a hit. If you are one of the young, young TOW readers and you arent hip to D, go ahead and hook up your google machine and search D’Angelo “Lady.” Play that song for a chick you are sweet on and tell her, every time you hear it you think of her… thank me later.
