Stoke City have given FC Dallas winger Brek Shea a week-long trial at the Potters with a view to a move.
Shea, who has 15 caps for the United States national team, recently had an operation to remove a bone from his right foot. But Pulis has offered the 22-year-old the chance to impress at the Britannia Stadium ahead of a possible deal.
“A year ago he was touted as the next great thing in America,” Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke. ”I think he’s fallen off the rails a little bit in some respects – I don’t know why.
“I went to France last year to see him play for America. So we’ve got a chance to look at him – he’s coming over and we’ll see what we think.”
