VICE went to Anfield Stadium to meet with the singer-songwriter best known for Liverpool’s football anthem “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Gerry Marsden (of Gerry & the Pacemakers fame) knows better than anyone—hailing from Liverpool, is responsible for popularizing the song that became the best football chant ever. He gives a behind the scenes tour of Anfield and drops some history on how the Anthem came about.
