With the World Cup 2014 fastly approaching, not to mention the Confederations cup later this year, Brazil is going to start getting a lot more attention in the media, and I for one, will be trying to find out more and more about it – before I head down there and lose my mind (and maybe non parent status!). I was looking around the interwebs for something totally different and happened to come upon this 4-part documentary dropped by the Reserve Channel on YouTube last week. Its about an hour long and its gets into the culture and lifestyle of Brazilians, particularly in the second largest city in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro.
I wont get too into describing what is going on, but let me just say, that you probably want to watch the series. It gives us plenty of what we expect to see when we think of Brazil (see YT video thumbnails below), but it also drops some nice stuff that you wouldnt have thought about. We had originally just planned on spending a week or so in Brazil for WC but I think I may have to convince the BP_TOW team to stay a few weeks.
btw, we’ve talked about the Reserve Channel before here on TOW. Its pretty friggin strong if you are in to new media and youtube channels. They are pretty much my favorite one out there. Great programming! Check them out on Facebook and follow their youtube page, you wont be disappointed.
Check out the videos after the jump……
