We teamed up with the very talented folks over at City Prints to create graphic tees inspired by some of the most iconic football stadiums in Europe. Our first release was Wembley just as the stadium was getting set to host the Champions League Final. Our next stadium releases are inspired by the champions of the five biggest leagues in Europe:
Each of these teams had an incredibly successful season and they also happen to play in some of the great stadiums in Europe. We wanted to pay homage to these great clubs, but we also wanted to make sure we did it on our own way, which is why we decided to focus on their stadiums.
Stadiums represent a lot about our favorite clubs. They are home away from home. It’s where we gather with our extended family to go HAM for our team. Memories are made here. Passion is uncontrollable. If football is a religion, then the stadium is the temple.
Some of my best memories of the game will always be linked to specific stadiums. The first time I saw a game in England with my dad – White Hart Lane: Tottenham v Man City. My first World Cup final – Rose Bowl: Brazil v Italy. El Clasico -Camp Nou: Barcelona v Real Madrid. Champions League Final – Wembley: Bayern Munich v Dortmund.
Stadiums hold a special place for soccer fans and we wanted to explore that while at the same time celebrating this past season’s champions of the biggest leagues in Europe. If you support any of these teams or have been to any of the stadiums, I’m sure you will have your own memories that are associated with each club / stadium.
One of the great things I’ve found in wearing a couple of these stadium tees over the weekend is that they are great at starting conversations. People were curious about what they were, and once I told them, there was plenty to talk about. Whether they were fans of the team, fans of opposing teams, or new to the sport, these stadium graphics provide ample opportunity to talk about the sport and some of the great clubs of the world. Soccer as a conversation started is always a win and these stadium tees definitely encourage that.
