Watch Diego Braghieri try to Break Ronaldinho’s Leg aka The Worst Tackle Ever

Braguieri tackles Ronaldinho

In last nights Copa Libertadores fixture between Arsenal de Sarandí and Atlético MG, Diego Braghieri from Arsenal de Sarandí commits one of the most ridiculous fouls you will ever see against any player ever, let alone a Brazilian legend like Ronaldinho.

The craziest thing about it, referee Martín Vázquez didn’t even card this guy for his two-footed studs up tackle. He did however point to the spot for Atlético MG.

* I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Ronaldinho is a better man than me. I have looked at as many newspaper reports on line as I could and there is no evidence that Ronaldinho and his boys were waiting on this Braghieri character after the game. We don’t condone violence here at TOW, but this cat tried to break his leg. I’m not confirming or denying that I would have put the pawwwws on this coward, but there at least would have been a “Aye-yo, let me holler at you real quick bruh….” situation … and then what happens next is what happens next.

You have to see this tackle, its disgusting. How he gets up to take a kick after this is amazing.

Side note, Atlético MG crushed Arsenal 5 – 2.

* You know, the more I think about it, this HAS TO be about something more than football. There is no way that this can just be retaliation for an elbow earlier or a rough tackle, right…. this is an all out assault and is borderline criminal. He tries to break dudes leg. He lunges, with two feet, directly at the tib fib…. I gotta think that this is personal. Wonder if we will ever get some insight on this.
