Borussia Dortmund Fans Singing in London

I’ve been in London since Thursday and there seems to have been a noticeable absence of German soccer fans. The past few days I have been waiting to see a big group of fans from either Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund singing, drinking beers, and yelling at the other fans. But nothing. Crickets…
Until today. I was taking a walk this morning when I started hearing some singing in the distance. Yellow jerseys were starting to be thick and heavy and then I stumbled upon this. A few hundred Dortmund fans having overtaken a statue and public square. Drinking, singing, yelling at Bayern fans when they passed by on buses. It was like a sea of yellow and I had been waiting for something like this.
A few things about this group of Dortmund fans.
1. They all wore yellow. Lots of it.
2. They were loud.
3. They were having a very, very good time.
4. Beer was flowing.
5. They are very passionate about their team.
6. They really, and I can’t overstate this enough, do not like Bayern Munich.
So I’m standing around taking pictures. Chatting with some of the fans. Everyone is on their feet. Jumping and swaying. And then all of a sudden. Everyone kneels down on one knee (I followed their lead). Then one dude takes a bullhorn and starts yelling into it. The rest, you can see in the video below.
I need to go to Dortmund.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this video may have some NSFW German language in it.
