Tim Howard already has his sights set on another unbeaten run after Everton fell to a first league defeat of the season against Manchester City. The Toffees have made an excellent start to life under Roberto Martinez and Howard does not expect the 3-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium to have any long-term negative effects.

Howard said: “It wasn’t a good day for us but it’s been good. We’re going into the international break and hopefully when we finish the break we’ll start another run.”

Tim Howard stand up! We’re little bit partial obviously, and we want Timmy playing stateside, but its great to have the boys overseas that we do – making a huge impact over the last few years by the way – and taking leadership roles in the best league in the world.
