Telemundo and NBC Universo To Televise All 52 U-20 World Cup Matches

Telemundo and NBC Universo are showing just how much they are committed to soccer in the US by being the first to broadcast all 52 games of the FIFA U-20 World Cup. This is just further proof that the sport continues to take hold here in the US. I don’t remember how much access to previous U-20 World Cups we had, which probably just means that teh access was fairly limited.
I also think the US has a pretty decent shot of doing something this year. I was chatting with our intern about that earlier today. They have a good squad, they have a favorable group and they aren’t playing in some crazy conditions that the players will be completely unaccustomed to. So the chances of making a run look pretty good. With every single game of the tournament being shown, and being excited around the squad I am really looking forward to this U-20 World Cup.

NBC Deportes will present the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015, live May 29 through June 19, on the TELEMUNDO network and NBC UNIVERSO cable channel, kicking off a series of FIFA World Cup events scheduled for 2015. The FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015 action will begin on Friday, May 29, when host New Zealand takes on Ukraine at 8:30PM/7:30C/5:30P on NBC UNIVERSO. TELEMUNDO will air all of Mexico’s first-round games: Mexico vs. Mali, Saturday, May 30 (8:30PM/7:30C/5:30P); Mexico vs. Uruguay Tuesday, June 2 (11:30PM/10:30C/8:30P), and Serbia vs. Mexico, Friday, June 5 (11:30PM/10:30C/8:30P).
