San Jose Earthquakes Club President Dave Kaval took some time out of his busy schedule to sit down with the guys from The Original Winger and we had an in-depth conversation about the newest soccer specific stadium to come to Major League Soccer.
Dave Kaval, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, who earned a Bachelor’s degree and an M.B.A. from Stanford University, was hired as the President of the San Jose Earthquakes in October of 2010. He oversees the business and technical sides of the franchise.
In part one, Dave speaks to the process of designing and executing the stadium, and some of the things that they can now do in a soccer specific stadium after years of sharing a field primarily used for American football.
Kaval led the Quakes efforts to design, develop, and privately finance the new 18,000 seat soccer specific stadium.
The $100M project opened for the 2015 MLS season.
