Late last week we were on hand at Nike World HQ to check out a number of things that Nike Soccer currently has going on. One of those was unveiling the 2016 Nike Women’s Boot range. Nike first released a women’s specific boot collection ahead of the 2015 Women’s World Cup, and they are following that up with a very strong offering for 2016. We got to check out all the boots in the range early, except for the Teimppo as that boot is getting set for an all new release soon.

Nike Mercurial Superfly

Every once in a while there is a product that everyone in the room stands up and takes notice of. For this collection of boots, that was the Mercurial Superfly Flyknit.

We have seen Flyknit technology appear on quite a few Nike boots now. But we have never seen a Flyknit feature in a heatler knit. When a material is a heather, it refers to how the yarns are woven and how multiple shades are used to produce more muted tones. And the result of this heather Flyknit is really gorgeous.

The more and more I have looked at the classic Mercurial Superfly that is being offered in this collection, the more and more I really like it. It’s a really great looking white boot that has grown on me over the last couple of days. The all white upper with the orange swoosh and blue accents is a very clean looking boot.

Nike Magista

The Magista comes in a pretty rugged and tough looking black colorway officially dubbed Black/Crimson Magenta and features in both the higher version with the ankle collar and the classic low cut.

Nike HypervenomII

Two of the most dangerous attackers for the USWNT, Alex Morgan and Christen Press, both wear the Hypervenom and will now be wearing this updated colorway which is labeled as Energy/Racer Blue/Voltage Green. These also feature in a high version with the ankle collar as well as the classic low cut silhouette.

If you are interested in copping a pair, you are going to need to be patient. These won’t drop until 2016. Thats should be plenty of time to adequately build anticipation for those Flyknit Mercurials!!
