Kansas City doing it really, really big these days. All Star game last season. They walked off with the MLS Cup last season. Arguably had the best National Team games leading up to the World Cup. They have two of the best young Mens Team players on their roster as DP’s. They possibly have some of the most swagged out players in the MLS. There is the Power and Light District. The Z-Man. And now they have this.

Reports tell us that the state-of-the-art $75-plus million soccer facility, will be include approximately 100,000 square feet for an indoor facility complete with a practice field, eight lighted professional smart fields and eight youth fields.

Additional amenities will include a climate-controlled indoor pavilion and specialized facilities tailored toward strength and nutrition, hydration, sports science, health and wellness, video and analytics.

The complex will also feature a 125-room full-service hotel.

Another great step in the growth of this game. Kansas City is a great town and I’ve had A LOT of fun down there. This is going to create a ton of jobs, long lasting gigs, and a great environment to grow our game. What they have done in the last few years since the rebrand, building into an MLS powerhouse, and now this. I love it.

* Random side note, Kansas City, Kansas can be abbreviated KCK.

Nike and Manchester United Unveil 2014-15 Away Kit

Filed under: Culture & Lifestyle, Jerseys, Manchester United, Nike, Wayne Rooney

I like the white jersey contrasting the black polo collar. I actually really like this jersey. It’s clean and could definitely be worn out and about. If But, I dot not like the big Chevrolet logo.

For the 2014-15 season, Manchester United will play in a classic new white away kit – instantly recognizable and evocative for the club’s fans.

The new away shirt is a sharp, crisp white and boasts a sophisticated black polo neck collar with a unique black button engraved with the club name.

When the collar is open it also reveals a small black devil from the center of the club’s crest. It has a red, white and black stripe on the underside revealed if it is flipped up in homage to legends from the club’s past.

Inside the back of the neck is a small label with the message, “Youth, Courage, Greatness” to represent the club’s values.

Across the back of the shirt is an engineered mesh in a series of chevrons to replicate the pattern used on United shirts as far back as the early 20th century, and again in recent times.

The shorts are black, and the socks are white with a black band at the top and a wide tonal stripe of chevrons on the back.

The new away kit will be available to pre-order from July 22 and to purchase in stores and from Nike.com from July 23.
