The Meadowlands is sold out, grass is atop the plastic pitch, and FSC and Univision are ready to go.  Did you know Team USA shared a flight to New York with Mexico?  Did you know Stuart Holden’s nickname is “Metro” (lol)?  Mexico coach Aguirre calls the US-Mexico rivalry “a dangerous cocktail“, and Captain Torrado promises to “fight like lions“.

Bad Soccer Town? Dallas Draws 82,252

New Cowboys Stadium drew a Texas-soccer-attendance record crowd of 82,252 to the Gold Cup to see Mexico on Sunday evening.  Previous record was 70, 550 at Reliant Stadium in Houston in 2006.

Cowboys Stadium, Almost Ready For Gold Cup

The new stadium in Dallas Arlington Texas looks ready to go for Sunday’s two Gold Cup Matches; first between Guadeloupe and Costa Rica, then Mexico and Haiti.  There are some interesting quirks to this place…
