This is no average pet store, it’s Banksy’s Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill and it’s ridiculous.  Banksy is using animatronics for the first time and the visual effects he’s going for are amazing.

The store, located at 89 West 7th Ave will be open everyday from 10am to midnight until October 31st.

I wanted to make art that questioned our relationship with animals and the ethics and sustainability of factory farming, but it ended up as chicken nuggets singing. I took all the money I made exploiting an animal in my last show and used it to fund a new show about the exploitation of animals. If its art and you can see it from the street, I guess it could still be considered street art.” - Banksy.

Christian left the Kora Reserve in 1973. He made his new territory along the Tana river, but when the Wakamba herdsmen kept bringing their livestock to his hunting ground, he moved on. George Adamson said in his autobiography, “I used to count the days on which we hadn’t seen Christian, but when they reached 97, I gave up recording them in my diary.” Because a lion can live from 12 to 15 years in the wild, Adamson believed that Christian ended his days in the Meru National Reserve only a few miles up river.

The Grizzly Bear who played Precious in the wrestling scene with Will Ferrell in Semi-Pro will most likely be put down after attacking and killing his handler Stephen Miller (who was Ferrell’s stunt double in the scene).

The 5 year old, 7 foot 6 inch Rocky, who was widely considered the best and most used Grizzly in Hollywood, grabbed Miller by his neck and held on until two other experienced handlers doused the bear with pepper spray.

Miller was released but died from blood loss only a few minutes later.

This British school teacher, Kate Drew decided to live a little dangerously on a Zimbabwean game reserve and as you can see, it quickly got out of control.  Amazingly the 28 year old made it out alive with only 13 stitches and a few stains on her tank top from the 400lb lion.
