Steve Jobs letter to his staff today:
Team,
I am sure all of you saw my letter last week sharing something very personal with the Apple community. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought. (more…)

Just because you know something’s coming doesn’t make it any less cool. The new 17-Inch Unibody MacBook Pro ($2,800) features the same rock-solid unibody aluminum construction as its 15- and 13-inch brothers, but features a slew of upgrades, including a 17-inch 1920×1200 LED-backlit display, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive standard with the option for a 256GB SSD, a Core 2 Duo processor running at speeds of up to 2.93 GHz, and a revolutionary new built-in battery that delivers up to eight hours of use and up to 1,000 recharges for more than three times the lifespan of normal laptop batteries.
All that, in the world’s lightest, thinnest 17-inch notebook?

New design and new price point? I am very down with the new MacBook. According to Gizmodo, who know this stuff way better than I do, here are some details…
• The latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors running at 2.4GHz and 2.53GHz.
• Nvidia GeForce 9400m, a chipset that includes a graphics processors. 70 percent of it is the processor, with 16 parallel chips in one and 54 gigaflops.
• Nvidia GeForce 9600m GT graphics:
- 32 parallel graphics cores
- 120 gigaflops
- 512 MBytes.
• New multi-touch glass trackpad that acts as single button, providing a click feedback when you push it.
• The trackpad is 39% larger than previous models.
• It admits four-finger gestures, so you can call exposé now by using the four fingers, as well as to activate app switching.
• LED displays, which makes the screen a lot thinner.
• All connections are one side.
• Black MacBook Air style keyboard.
• Mini DisplayPort connector.
I don’t really know what everything in the above list means…
Wow.. ok, so Phareezie is a little different and definitely a N.E.R.D… I haven’t been in a studio recently where I have seen anyone running their hot ish on a PC, only Macs; but hey maybe the dude really is keeping it real … old school, he did do that HP commercial back in the day
I don’t care what this cat uses just as long as he keeps pumping out club hits and this ChildRebelSoldier album drops soon!

According to some reports, Apple will drop their new aluminum Macbooks on us this October. Not only will they have a thin aluminum casing, but they also might be priced lower than pervious Macbooks. There has been chatter that Apple is going to start lowering prices on products to become even more competitive, and what better way than to drop a lower priced Macbook. I would be very down with this.
Pretty interesting look behind the idea of “Jail Breaking” an iPhone to have the ability to use it overseas and adding more features than what are as of now available.
