Stan Kroenke Still Mum on Arsenal Intentions at General Meeting

American billionaire Stan Kroenke and chairman Peter Hill-Wood

Stan Kroenke maintained his silence at Arsenal’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday afternoon, when questions were directly raised as to the intentions of the American billionaire investor. The Denver-based sports magnate is now the largest individual shareholder in the Gunners’ holding company, with a stake of some 28.86% which includes a recent £765,000 purchase. (more…)

Danny Karbassiyoon is amongst the rare group of American soccer players who has played for one of the world’s premier soccer clubs. He spent two years at Arsenal, before moving on to Burnley and then ultimately having to hang up his boots at a young age due to injury. But injury didn’t take Danny away from the game, instead he has gone on to become the North American scout for Arsenal FC. We had a chance to sit down and chat with Danny about a variety of topics. Arsenal 3 - 1 Birmingham, English Premier League Highlights

Arsenal continued their momentum with a 3-1 Premier League win over Birmingham at the Emirates Stadium. Robin van Persie and Abou Diaby had fired the Gunners into a 2-0 lead inside 18 minutes. However, Lee Bowyer capitalised on a mistake by young keeper Vito Mannone - preferred to fit-again Manuel Almunia - to pull a goal back before half-time.

After soaking up plenty of pressure during the second half from the battling Blues, Andrey Arshavin wrapped up the points late on as Arsene Wenger’s side made it seven successive victories in all competitions this season. (more…)

Emmanuel Adebayor Avoids Ban for his Celebration - the fine stays

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been handed a suspended two-match ban and £25,000 fine by the Football Association for his controversial goal celebration against Arsenal last month.

The Togo striker ran the full length of the pitch at Eastlands to toast his goal in front of the Gunners’ travelling support, provoking ugly scenes in the stands. (more…)
