Tony Pulis

Just a day after Arsene Wenger came out hard hitting in the press (and days after he was congratulatory to Stoke City in his post-game comments) over the physical tactics that saw his Arsenal lose 2 - 0 at the Brittania Stadium, Robin Van Persie Red carded and Emmanuel Adebayor (ankle), Theo Walcott (shoulder) and Bacary Sagne (ankle) injured during the course of the 90 minutes, Stoke City head coach Tony Pulis responded via his teams official website.

Wenger said: “The only intention is to hurt you and I can show some tackles where I can prove what I say.

According to reports, Arsenal’s team building secrets have been revealed. Whether or not this is Wenger’s team building speech or not, I’m not sure yet. But the points that are brought up in this manifest hit home and are some pretty good business tools to live by.  I’ll take these and learn from them…

Arsenal to Appoint American Stan Kroenke to Board

arsenal

American billionaire and Arsenal shareholder, Stan Kroenke, has been appointed to the board at Arsenal. Kroenke who owns 12.38% of the Gooners was once looked upon by the Arsenal board  in a pretty negative manner. In fact it was hin introduction to Arsenal by David Dein that eventually helped lead to Dein stepping away as vice-chairmen. But ever since the Russian Alisher Usmanov has been increasing his holding in Arsenal, the outlook on Kroenke has improved. Looks like this appointment might be to block Usmanov from taking over the club.

I think Theo Walcott is going to be OK. First you put three into the back of the net against Croatia, and then you get in your Ferrari or Bentley or Mercedes and then go home and score a couple of more times with this.

Terry And Lamps On Walcott’s Performance

Filed under: Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, English National Team, Theo Walcott, Videos

One hell of a performance for the sometime Arsenal starter.

Wonder if Fabio Capello’s faith in the young player at the International Stage will in any way influence Arsene “The Voyeur” Wenger into giving Walcott more starts in the Arsenal side?

Wesley Sneijder Injures Knee Ligaments Against Arsenal

Filed under: Arsenal, Friendlies, Rafael van der Vaart, Real Madrid, Wesley Sneijder

UPDATE - Wesley Sneijder was able to do some running fitness today boosting his chances to return to the field earlier than expected for Real Madrid.  The Dutchman was able to knock the ball around with his left foot, but not his right.

It’s been 38 days since the 24 year old Sneijder was injured under a challenge by Arsenal’s Abou Diaby during a pre-season Friendly.

Real Madrid’s push for Rafael van der Vaart might have just gotten a bit more important as their influential Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder went down just past the hour mark at Emirates Stadium. Adebayor scored the games only goal as Arsenal won 1-nil.

After a tough tackle by Arsenal’s Abou Diaby during the Emirates Cup pre-season friendlies tournament, Sneijder was in immediate pain and the worst, torn knee ligaments is feared.
