Banksy Touches New Orleans
Filed under: Art, BanksyUPDATE - Thanks for the heads up from Casey - Looks like Banksy’s latest down in the South has caught the attention of the local Art Critic, The Times - Picayune’s Doug MacCash who’s got an interesting angle on the graffiti versus art argument that has long affected the New Orleans communities since Hurricane Katrina.
Banksy has made his way to New Orleans, touching the landscape in a way that the Post - Katrina city has ever seen.

Banksy Takes On The KKK
Filed under: Art, BanksyTake a close look at this abandoned Chevron gas station near Birmingham, Alabama.
Looks like Banksy is making his disgust for the KKK well known.
If you’re in the Birmingham area (off the 59 Freeway and 69 Freeway) or in the New Orleans area and can grab a picture on site, send it over and we’ll get it up on The Original Winger.

Banksy Unveiled?
Filed under: Art, Banksy, WTFAs most of you know, we here at The Original Winger are hugely influenced by Banksy.
Now the Daily Mail has produced a picture of who they consider to be the man behind some of the most creative guerrilla graffiti in the world.
Banksy and his crew have just created a group they creatively named Pest Control, a Banksy-appointed committee that all major resellers must consult with first before any secondary market work can be considered truly authentic.
The committee was formed after three inauthentic works attributed to Banksy went on sale at Bloomsbury Auctions in London without confirmation or certification.

The Cans Festival
Filed under: Art, BanksyIn May, Banksy held a festival in London celebrating the rise and popularity of street art. Apparently it was the largest gathering of stencil artists from around the world. The video is a recap of the festival.
Take That
Filed under: Art, BanksyI’m not going to go into detail about Banksy and his worldwide fame (even though no one really knows what he looks like or who he is). I have posted about him before, and for those that want more info on the mysterious graffiti / stencil artist, just click here. With CCTV and cameras mounted throughout London, Banksy takes a swipe at the authorities, not only with the message, but the image of the boy and the security guard and dog looking on, but more importantly by hitting this wall in full view of CCTV’s.
