Goal.com has a pretty interesting article with former LA Galaxy supremo Alexi Lalas as he injects his opinion as to what Bruce Arena will need to do to get the club back on track.

And any time there’s a question of leadership when David Beckham’s in your squad, you know that this type of article will be much discussed not just in MLS circles, but worldwide.

Galaxy Tour Of Australia Postponed, NZ Still On

Filed under: Australia, Becks, LA Galaxy

LA Galaxy have postponed their December tour of Australia due to David Beckham’s impending move to AC Milan.

With the move to the Italian club on loan looking set for January, the risk of injury for a friendly match against the Queensland Roar might have proved too much.

However, the Galaxy will still play a 6 December fixture against an Oceania All Star team in Auckland, New Zealand.

SAF on Becks Move “…Hardly a Surprise…”

Filed under: AC Milan, Becks, LA Galaxy, Sir Alex Ferguson

Sir Alex Ferguson relates: “It is hardly a surprise. Going to the United States does not get you the kind of football he is used to.

“It is not the right level of football, therefore coming back into the mainstream of the game is not a surprise.

“People have been edging towards that quite a while now.”

The English midfielder will arrive in January and he will play in Serie A and in the UEFA Cup. “It will be a pleasure for me to have Beckham here. He is a serious athlete and a great professional,” Coach Ancelotti told the club’s official website. “If he is available for us for four months then we will be delighted to have him. He will play for Milan in Serie A and in Europe.”

The England international is keen on keeping up his fitness as he attempts to go for a record number of appearances with the Three Lions.

It’s great news for Milan as they will have Kaka, Ronaldinho and Beckham is a dream-team formation.

Beckham’s Customized Bentley Up For Sale

becks-bentley

If you live in England and are in the market for a used and very customized Bentley Arnage T, then this might be perfect for you.  This Bentley, which is owned by David Beckham, and which he actually drove to Buckingham Palace when he went to get his OBE from the Queen herself is up for sale.  According to Autotrader UK:

David’s old Bentley is definitely a bit of ‘posh’ spice – he fitted more than £70,000 worth of extras, including wife Victoria’s name embroidered into the rear centre ‘cushion box’.

But this is just the start… Beckham ordered a HUGE spec for his Bentley, which includes:

• Folding rear picnic tables
• Polished wheels
• Bespoke cup-holders to both front door pockets
• ‘Le Mans’ style wing vents
• Alpine hi-fi with sub-woofers
• Half wood/half leather steering wheel
• Roof mounted illuminated vanity mirrors to rear compartment
• Rear fridge
• Diamond cross handles
• Televisions in the rear headrests with bespoke covers

The car cost £170,000 brand new, has about £70,000 in upgrades but can be yours for £99,000.

After the jump, check out more pics of Beckham’s Bentley.

Thursday night begins a new era in Real Salt Lake’s history; the opening of RSL’s brand new home, Rio Tinto Stadium. ESPN2’s PrimeTime Thursday will be there to show RSL vs the NY Red Bulls at 8pm local Mountain time.

There are some great photos of the stadium at the official website.

Tonight will be a sellout, and emotions are running hot.

RSL already missing astro-turf advantage?!? No way, grass is sweet.

RSL Owner Dave Checketts with an intriguing interview - Liverpool for next year’s All-Star Game?

I looked around and found a couple interesting photos after the jump…

Highlights: LA Galaxy at Columbus Crew

Filed under: Becks, Columbus Crew, LA Galaxy

This was Becks’ first trip to the Buckeye state.  Looked like a real barnburner of a game, and the atmosphere fantastic.
