Last fall BMW kaiser Norbert Reithofer confirmed that they would be releasing a “Gran Turismo.” Apparently the Gran Turismo is based on the 7 Series, but will be positioned in a higher category. I’m a big BMW fan, and these pictures might be some of the illest I have seen of any car in a minute. Looks like these are going into production for 2009. More pictures of this incredible car after the jump.

BMW is one of those companies that always does things their way. To unveil the latest version of their 7 Series, they built a huge hourglass smack in the middle of Red Square in Moscow. After 180,000 silver balls passed through the hour glass, the all new, Euro version of the 7 Series was revealed. Quite a concept. Peep the video after the jump.

This is made from 714 metallic balls and is at the BMW museum in Munich. If you stare at it, it looks like it is moving a little. Pretty crazy.
This 2008 BMW M1 Prototype, created by HOSS Ferero was snapped in an airport hangar in Spain.
Damn this car looks aggressive.

Thirty years ago BMW dropped its first mid engine super car, the M1. The original M1 was a collaboration with Lamborghini, which might be one of the illest collabs of all time. Anyhoo, to celebrate the 30th anniversary, this M1 concept car was recently unveiled at Concorso d’Eleganza. This might just be a concept car, but the retro meets modern vibe is stunning and this machine looks to be a winner. I could see becks adding this to the collection he currently has going.
We are all very aware that there is some seriously long, new money in Russia. Cats like Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich are leading the way of Russian money, and there are a ton of billionaires coming out of the former USSR. To further illustrate that there is a ton of new money in Russia, BMW has put up a 65,000 sq. ft ad in Russia promoting the new M Series. I have no idea how big 65,000 sq. feet actually is, but let’s just say that those cars on the billboard in the picture are real cars. Yep! They did it like that! That is how you get attention!
